FORMAT OF THE EXAM
Section I: Multiple Choice/Short-Answer; 105 minutes
- Part A, Multiple-Choice: 55 Questions; 55 minutes; 40% of total exam score
- Part B, Short-Answer: 4 questions; 50 minutes; 20% of total exam score
- Part A, Document-based question: 1 question; 55 minutes (includes 15 minute reading period); 25% of total exam score
- Part B, Long essay question: 1 question (chosen from a pair); 35 minutes; 15% of total exam score

HOW HARD IS THE AP EUROPEAN HISTORY?
Grade distribution (2015) shows the percentage of student who take the test and receive the following score:
- 5 (Extremely Qualified): 10.3% student
- 4 (Very Qualified): 17.4% students
- 3 (Qualified): 35.6% students
- 2 (Not qualified): 10.6% students
- 1 (Poor): 26.1% students
